Dr. Sylvester Kyei-Gyamfi is a distinguished academic and public service professional with extensive experience in child rights promotion, research, and policy implementation. Dr. Kyei-Gyamfi holds a PhD in Migration Studies from the University of Ghana’s Centre for Migration Studies. His academic journey also includes two master’s degrees: an MA in Adult Education from the Institute of Continuing and Adult Education, and an MA in Development Studies from the Institute of Statistics, Social and Economic Research, both at the University of Ghana. Additionally, he obtained a BA in Sociology/History from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He has furthered his professional expertise by becoming a Chartered Management and Administrative Consultant, acquiring certification from the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants in Ghana.

Dr. Kyei-Gyamfi has held multiple roles in both academic and public sectors, contributing to policy formulation and implementation. As the Director of RSIM at MoGCSP, he oversees research, data management, and policy analysis for gender and child protection initiatives. His responsibilities include training staff, evaluating performance, and facilitating policy discussions at the ministerial level. Beyond public service, he has lectured part-time at the Centre for Gender Studies and Advocacy (CEGENSA) and the School of Social Work in Osu.
